nprlogo062110.jpgHave you dreamed of working for National Public Radio? Well here’s your chance. The public broadcasting leader is in search of a books editor who will edit and produce arts coverage for NPR.org from their Washington, D.C. office. The ideal candidate will need to have daily news and online experience as well as an arts or journalism background.

Aside from producing Web stories, you’ll be responsible for writing headlines and display copy while editing photos and creating multimedia content like slide shows and audio presentations. Experience with content management systems is a plus, as you’ll not only be laying out stories in the books section, but you’ll also be editing NPR’s home page.

According to our sources, the organization is working on building up the books section, so this is the perfect opportunity to be a part of a growing department. If you have at least four years of experience in daily news and are up for the challenge, apply here.
