Now That’s Redefining the Book Trailer…

To promote Dan Solin‘s The Smartest 401(k) Book You’ll Ever Read, Perigee has rented out the space on both sides of an undisclosed number of commercial truck trailers, aiming to call attention to the book on the streets of Manhattan—and the highways within a 100-mile radius—for the next few weeks. Publicity manager Tina Anderson says the trucks are only one facet of an outdoor-focused ad campaign. “Rather than take our traditional print and online ad space, we wanted to capture the moving public,” she explained. The publisher also bought ad space on 15 kiosks scattered around Manhattan, each located within a block or so of a bookstore, “so people could in theory see the ad and walk right into the store to buy the book.”
