Nominate Your NaNoWriMo Novel for a Free Book Cover

By Jason Boog

30daysNational Novel Writing Month will start in November, and you can now nominate your project (or your favorite NaNoWriMo project) to receive a free book cover.

The writing marathon has opened its 30 Covers, 30 Days nomination thread, matching 30 writers with 30 cover designers.

The designers “will create a work of art based on a NaNo-novel synopsis,” revealing one new cover every day in November–just like the Mar’s Run cover embedded above.

Here’s more about how to apply:

If you would like to have your novel considered for this awesome project, then you are in the right place. In order to nominate a novel for consideration (and yes, you can nominate yourself!), please post in this thread with the following:

  • Username
  • Name (This can be a pseudonym!)
  • Genre of Your Novel
  • Region You are Writing From
  • The Title of Your Novel
  • Short Synopsis

We unfortunately can only consider postings that have all of the above information. If your synopsis is selected to receive a cover, we will contact you at some point in November via NaNo Mail.

Graphic designer and Design Matters host Debbie Millman will coordinate the event.  The program will conclude with a silent auction next year, selling full-sized prints of the 2013 covers to raise money for the NaNoWriMo, the nonprofit.
