Despite writing the book, “How I Play Golf,” a tell-all memoir does not seem to be in the future for Tiger Woods. In a statement this morning, Woods admitted to unnamed “transgressions,” but stressed that he had no interest in sharing his story.
Here’s an excerpt from Woods’ statement: “Although I am a well-known person and have made my career as a professional athlete, I have been dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny really means … for me, the virtue of privacy is one that must be protected in matters that are intimate and within one’s own family. Personal sins should not require press releases and problems within a family shouldn’t have to mean public confessions.”
Over the weekend, Woods made headlines after a small car accident and allegations of infidelity. This morning the word “transgressions” dominated Google searches as readers around the world tried to decode the short statement.
