Nick Earls Turns To Indie Publisher For eBooks

By Dianna Dilworth

When Australian author Nick Earls decided to sign an eBook distribution deal, he didn’t turn to Random House, Penguin or the other publishers who he has worked with in print. Instead, he partnered with an indie publishing house called Exciting Press to release eBook editions of his work.

The release explains: “The deal includes several novels and novellas, a collection of short fiction, and individual short stories, most of which were originally published by corporate publishers including Penguin and Random House, but which have never been available in digital form.”

eBookNewser has more: “Under the terms of the partnership, Exciting Press will publish 12 titles from the author including backlist novels and an unpublished novella. In addition, Exciting Press will put out the eBook edition of Earls’ short stories ‘The Italian Job’ and ‘The Secret Life of Veal.’ The titles are slated for release in 2012.”
