New York announced this morning that it has hired freelance contributor Sam Anderson, who has reviewed titles like Falling Man and The Yiddish Policeman’s Union for the magazine over the last year, as its staff book critic—a job that will have him writing feature stories as well. Anderson, a doctoral candidate in NYU’s English department, has also contributed to Slate and The American Scholar.
