CAA is downplaying the impact of the book, but several sources say the disclosures have caused anger, especially among midlevel agents who are not part of the management team, and have prompted rival agencies to ramp up poaching efforts.

According to the report, Hollywood insiders have been sharing the book via a PDF file, which has upset the publisher Custom House.
