Today BEA announced that the number of registered visitors at publishing’s biggest conference was 27,211 “registered visitors.” They counted 29,923 registered visitors last year, but this year’s expo was one day shorter.
Here’s a breakdown of the official numbers: “As noted, the total number of verified industry professionals in attendance at BEA in 2010 was 21,919. The number of verified attendees (i.e. all non-exhibitor participants including book buyers, press, licensing and rights professionals, non-editorial media, authors, film and TV production personnel, etc.) was 13,872. The number of verified exhibitor participants was 8,047.”
