The LA Times has broken an embargo on Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins, publishing a review of the new book today. The review contains spoilers, but offers the first peek at the third book in the bestselling Hunger Games trilogy.

Here is a spoiler-free excerpt: “One minute after midnight Monday, “Mockingjay” will finally be available to readers, bringing a wrenching conclusion to the tale of a country in chaos and the 17-year-old protagonist who caused it. Fans aren’t likely to be disappointed.”

This GalleyCat Reviews editor wonders: Should reviewers be bound by embargoes? What do you think? Last week, we wrote about a Harry Potter fan site administrator who posted a photo of the closely guarded book. (Via Sarah Weinman)
