Warner Books announced to its staff earlier today that Mitch Hoffman, who had just been promoted to the executive editor’s position at Dutton last November, will be joining Warner in a similar capacity at the end of January. At Dutton, Hoffman’s authors included Harlan Coben, Al Franken, and John Lescroart; his role as the editor of Raymond Khoury‘s The Last Templar also put Hoffman in the media spotlight for a couple of “it’s a Da Vinci Code market”-type features, from the big wave of post-Code thrillers to the perceived end of the cycle.
