The Associated Press reported over the weekend that Meredith, the parent company of Family Circle, Better Homes & Gardens and other magazines, announced that it will eliminate 15 jobs from its books division, citing lower-than-expected sales. The company added that it will cut several open positions, with 100 jobs remaining. Meredith plans to refocus its book publishing efforts in areas where it has traditionally seen success, such as building, cooking, crafts, gardening and remodeling.
