mediabistro.com’s Greg Lindsay Finds His Motivation

By Neal

greglindsay.jpgFishbowlNY contributing editor Greg Lindsay continues his series of monthly articles about what it’s like to write his first book, Aerotropolis, and reports that he didn’t get much done in November, because he went and got married, and when he finally sat back down at his desk a week later, “the material had gotten away from me, and I couldn’t psyche myself up enough to chase it.”

Each month, Lindsay has been soliciting advice from other writers; this time around, he got a reading recommendation from Details editor-at-large Jeff Gordinier: The War of Art, by Steven Pressfield. Lindsay credits the slim handbook with helping to break his resistance to getting the work done. Let’s hope, then, that next month brings a new set of creative problems!
