Mark Zuckerberg, Comic Book Hero

Zuckerberg.jpgWith The Social Network‘s film release date looming close, who hasn’t heard the name Mark Zuckerberg floating around? Now the Facebook founder has his own comic book.

Bluewater Productions will release Mark Zuckerberg: Creator of Facebook in December. The comic was written by Jerome Maida, penciled by Sal Field, and the cover was designed by Michal Szyksznian. Bluewater plans for a 48-page finished product priced at $6.99. The comic attempts to answer the question, “Who is the real Mark Zuckerberg?”

Maida commented: “Rightly or wrongly, Mark dealt harshly with some people on his way to where he is today. As we see, he left many people feeling betrayed. I try my best to be fair here. No one is totally innocent in this story. I try to represent each of the major players’ point of view.”

Ever since the 2008 elections, it seems as though biographies in comic book form have taken off in popularity. IDW Publishing released Presidential Material comics with the life story of then-presidential-candidates Barack Obama and John McCain. Of course Bluewater Productions followed suit with a Sarah Palin biographical comic, the first of what is now six comics in the Female Force series. Recently, Ms. Palin was the star of Steampunk Palin, a one-shot comic book from Antarctic Press. (Via Mashable)
