The first title, The Paladin Protocol, is slated for a Fall 2012 release. Editorial director Jim Thomas negotiated the deal with literary agents Sophie Hicks and Ed Victor from Ed Victor Ltd.

Frost has published eight adult titles in the past. He worked on the screenplay for the two Fantastic Four film adaptations and was co-creator for the cult TV show, Twin Peaks.

The press release had this quote from Thomas: “The opportunity to partner with a visionary like Mark Frost is tremendously exciting. All of us at Random House are thrilled to be publishing his first series for young readers.”
