Deb Futter Named Publisher of Twelve

Deb Futter has been named publisher of Grand Central Publishing’s Twelve imprint. Futter will continue to serve as EIC of Grand Central Publishing. Current publisher Cary Goldstein will depart.

Other publishers made changes as well this week. Maha Kahlil jumps from Hyperion, where she served as director of sales, to her new role as marketing director for the Crown Publishing Group’s Clarkson Potter, Potter Style, Potter Craft, Watson-Guptill, and Amphoto imprints.

In addition, three staff members within the Potter group imprints have received promotions. Allison Renzulli has been named senior marketing manager, Carly Gorga moves up to associate marketing manager, and Kevin Sweeting now holds the associate title.

Samantha Smith has been named fiction publisher at Scholastic UK. Prior to this appointment, she worked as as editorial director at Little, Brown UK.

Rachel Partridge has also come on board at Scholastic UK; she will serve in the newly-created role of group marketing and publicity director. Throughout Patridge’s career, she has held positions at Universal Pictures, Disney publishing, and BBC Books.
