Macmillan Seeks Savvy Director for ‘Quick and Dirty Tips’

By Nadine Cheung

We mentioned this gig in our weekly job roundup, but we thought it was worth some extra attention. Macmillan is looking for a director to run its Quick and Dirty Tips franchise, which includes podcasts, a website, e-newsletters, mobile apps, books and audiobooks.

You’ll be developing and implementing brand strategy, as well as overseeing publicity and marketing for experts like Grammar Girl, The Dog Trainer, Nutrition Diva, Get-Fit Guy, The Public Speaker and Money Girl. You’ll supervise a staff of two, while analyzing data in order to come up with brand extensions and ways to increase revenue.

To be considered, you’ll need at least five years of experience in media brand management, book and/or magazine publishing, along with significant experience in digital products and development. You should know the ins and outs of multi-platform branding, and be familiar with Web development. Interested? Apply here.
