Macmillan has furnished Scribd’s digital library with 6,000 new books. Subscribers now have access to several bestsellers including Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel, The Silver Linings Playbook by Matthew Quick, and The World Is Flat by Thomas L. Friedman.
The two companies forged a partnership last year. Prior to this announcement, the digital reading subscription service already carried 2,300 Macmillan titles.
Here’s more from the press release: “The additions represent the third time Macmillan has increased its book offering with Scribd in the past year. The books to be added from Macmillan Publishers include notable fiction and nonfiction authors such as Tom Perrotta, Augusten Burroughs, Susan Sontag, and Denis Johnson.”
