Litographs Crowdfunds For World’s Longest Literary Tattoo Chain Project

By Maryann Yin

Litographs, a company that produces book-inspired art pieces, has raised more than $25,000 on Kickstarter to launch a line of temporary literary tattoos. These funds will be used for the tattoo product launch and to organize the “World’s Longest Tattoo Chain.”

The first 2,500 supporters will be sent a temporary tattoo that features a line from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland; their pictures will help to form the chain. Backers 2,501 to 5,000 will receive a tattoo featuring a line from Through the Looking Glass!. We’ve embedded a video about the project above. Here’s more from the Kickstarter page:

“We have taken the entirety of Lewis Carroll’s most universally-loved book, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, and broken it into 2,500* individually designed temporary tattoos. Our goal is to recreate this iconic novel by showcasing every single word on the skin of 2,500* Kickstarter backers – in other words, YOU.”
