Literary Shorty Award Winners

ajb.jpgLast night author Arjun Basu (pictured, via) won the official Literature category at the Shorty Awards in New York City–the second annual awards ceremony honoring Twitter writers.

In addition, some literary Twitter writers won community-nominated awards. Literary news guru Jose Afonso Furtado won the Shorty Award for the Publishing category. Author Michael Scott won the Books category, and finally, designer Stephen Tiano won the Book Design category.

CORRECTION: An earlier version of this post misreported the results. While Neil Gaiman was the top candidate on the Shorty leaderboard for Literature, he did not win the Shorty Award for literature.
