Lindsay Legs Soho for Abrams

colleen-lindsay.jpgA little over a month after joining Soho Press as publicity director, Colleen Lindsay (right) has been hired by Harry N. Abrams as the new director of marketing operations, effective December 18. Abrams CEO Michael Jacobs says Lindsay will be “driving key title campaigns for Abrams adult, Abrams Image and STC titles,” along with a slew of other responsibilities. Before her brief tenure running Soho’s publicity, she was the publicity director at Del Rey and once worked at San Francisco-based independent bookstore Stacey’s. “Her understanding of all aspects of the marketing, publicity and sales processes and her proven abilities to deal with authors, agents, licensors and publishing partners will contribute a great deal to our mix,” Jacobs says.

“This is an amazing opportunity to work with a publisher that’s putting together some of the most cutting edge pop culture titles out there,” said Lindsay of her seemingly abrupt change in direction. “Abrams and STC have an extraordinary editorial team, and they publish gorgeous books. How could I be anything other than thrilled?”
