Digital publisher Open Road Integrated Media is releasing the works of British writer Lawrence Durrell digitally, just in time for the 100th anniversary of his birth. For the first time, 28 of the author’s works will be available to read as eBooks. This includes The Alexandria Quartet, a series of novels from the late fifties and early sixties set in Egypt during World War II.

As with other Open Road releases, the eBooks will include new content including introductions by the likes of Jan MorrisDBC Pierre and Henry Miller. In addition, the books will feature exclusive photos as well as an illustrated biography of Durrell.

Tina Pohlman, publisher at Open Road stated: “Open Road is excited to celebrate the one-hundred-year anniversary of Lawrence Durrell’s birth by bringing his titles to readers in E for the first time ever. He was an immensely powerful writer, and we look forward to connecting his works with readers for years to come.”
