Larry Wilmore, former host of The Nightly Show, will host the 67th annual National Book Awards ceremony.

“We are delighted to have award-winning writer and comedian Larry Wilmore host the 67th National Book Awards,” stated David Steinberger, chairman of the board of the National Book Foundation. “His skillful use of comedy, whether as a television comedy writer or a published author is entertaining and transformative, and we want people to find that books are just as exciting.”

The event will take place on November 16 in New York at Cipriani Wall Street. You can check out the short list nominees for the four categories — fiction, non-fiction, poetry and young people’s literature — at this link.
