Rakuten’s digital book business Kobo has entered the e-book market in Turkey.

Through a partnership with Turkish book store chain D&R, Turkish readers can now access the Kobo e-reader and digital book store through D&R, idefix.com, a subsidiary of D&R.

D&R will offer 15,000 Turkish language e-books through the Kobo platform. The platform will be live in May.

“This sound relationship will allow us to offer the widest selection of books and reach more readers in more places,” stated Kürşat Demircioğlu, CEO, D&R.
