Kindle’s Fan Fiction Imprint Expands to Include G.I. JOE

kindleworldsAmazon Publishing has signed licensing agreements with seven new franchises for Kindle Worlds, a platform that lets authors write fan fiction based on someone else’s work and share royalties with the rights holders. The new partnership means that writers can choose from more than 20 different worlds to write about.

Hasbro’s G.I. JOE brand and Warner Bros. television shows Veronica Mars and Ravenswood join the roster of worlds which already includes: Gossip GirlPretty Little LiarsThe Vampire Diaries, Valiant Entertainment’s UnityThe World of Kurt Vonnegut, Hugh Howey’s Silo Saga, Barry Eisler’s John Rain, Blake Crouch’s Wayward Pines, Lee Goldberg’s The Dead Man, and The Foreworld Saga.

In addition, the new partnerships include: The Abnorm Chronicles from Marcus Sakey’s novel Brilliance, as well as The Lizzy Gardner Files by Theresa Ragan.
