When we last chatted with Kiera Cass, she did not breathe one word on the details of her future projects. Cass (pictured, via) recently announced that she has an additional novella and two full-length fiction books, all of which are set in The Selection universe, in-the-works. Both of Cass’ forthcoming novellas, The Queen and The Favorite, will initially be published as eBooks. HarperTeen will then release a paperback print book in early 2015 with both of these stories and extra content. According to Cass’ blog post, book one, entitled The Heir, will come out in summer 2015. A new character will serve as the narrator for this novel as well as the follow-up.
Just prior to Cass sharing this news, the HarperTeen team hosted the “Unlock More Selection” social media project. Readers shared their favorite images, quotes, and tidbits about the series on tumblr, twitter, and instagram with the #MoreSelection hashtag. The rewards included a three-chapter excerpt of The Queen and a bonus epilogue for The One. Do you have any predictions about The Heir?
