Julianne Moore, an Oscar-winning actress, has signed on to star in the Wonderstruck film adaptation. In the past, Moore has taken on roles in several book-based projects including Game Change, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, and Still Alice.
Variety reports that Todd Haynes will serve as the director. The story for this movie comes from Brian Selznick’s 2011 children’s book.

Ben lives with his family in Minnesota in 1977, and runs off to New York following his mother’s death when a mysterious note shows up.
