Fox 2000 has optioned the film rights to John Rocco‘s Caldecott Honor-winning picture book, Blackout. The movie studio plans to adapt this work into a live-action movie.
According to Deadline, Rocco will serve as an executive producer along with Ivana Schecter-Garcia. How To Train Your Dragon screenwriter Will Davies will write the script.

Rocco recently blogged that Weston Woods was working on an animation project based on Blackout. He also revealed that Academy Award-nominated actor Stanley Tucci would lend his vocal talents to that venture.
