Woah here he comes: Rock and Roll Hall of Famer John Oates is writing a memoir. The co-founder of Hall & Oates has signed a deal with St. Martin’s Press to release a memoir in late 2016.
“…I feel it’s time to go back and tell the whole story, while also giving readers a rich taste of this music, its history, and how it still affects me to this day,” explained Oates in a statement. “Of course the story of Hall & Oates is an amazing one, and I’ve got some great tales starting with the night I met Daryl, right up until now, almost 50 years later. Thankfully, I kept some pretty detailed journals, and I’m ready to take everyone on a vivid journey across the many musical miles I’ve been so fortunate to have traveled. It should be quite a ride.”
Oates will co-write the book, which is currently untitled, with music journalist and author Chris Epting.
