John Leahy has been hired as chief financial officer for Cengage Learning.
In his new role, Leahy will oversee the company’s finances and manage a team. He will report directly to chief executive officer Michael Hansen.
Here’s more from the press release: “John most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Care.com, the world’s largest online marketplace for finding and managing family care, where he helped lead its successful Initial Public Offering this past January. Previously, John served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of iRobot, a pure play robotics firm which develops and markets consumer and defense products, and as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Keane, Inc., which provided business consulting and outsourcing services to Fortune 1000 companies.”
