John Green to Serve as Executive Producer For ‘Paper Towns’ Film Adaptation

Last night, young adult novelist John Green announced on Twitter and Facebook that Fox 2000 has acquired the film rights to his 2008 book, Paper Towns.

Green confirmed that the screenwriters and producers behind The Fault in Our Stars movie will reunite for this adaptation project. He also revealed that he will serve as an executive producer so “if you don’t like something, you can blame me.”

Nat Wolff, the actor who plays Isaac in The Fault in Our Stars, sent out a tweet that he is “excited” have the lead role in Paper Towns. Deadline reports that “Paper Towns takes place in Orlando, but this is far from a Disney World ride. The protagonist is Quentin, a young man who shared a jarring experience with his neighbor Margo: They found a man who committed suicide.”
