Jodi Picoult Joins VIDA’s Advisory Board

By Dianna Dilworth

Bestselling novelist Jodi Picoult has joined the advisory board of VIDA: Women in Literary Arts.

Picoult will serve on board as a mentor and advocate, alongside Jennifer Baumgardner, Soraya Chemaly, Corinne Segal, Cheryl Strayed and Jamia Wilson. Picoult was selected for her outspokenness about gender parity in the publishing industry. Picoult joins as Cate Marvin, Ann Townsend, and Erin Belieu leave the board, having completed their service.

Vida is currently doing its annual fundraising effort and plans to launch an expanded version of its VIDA Count report next week. The updated report will include data on race, gender, sexuality and disability.
