The AP reported that 500 people waited for Carter at a Cleveland bookstore this week when he was admitted to a hospital as a precautionary move. President Barack Obama called Carter on Tuesday night to confirm his good health.

Carter’s grandson, Senator Jason Carter, told the AP: “He’s definitely resting comfortably and expected to continue his book tour this week. I haven’t talked to him, but nobody in the family is concerned.”

White House Diary was officially released on September 20th. A week prior to that date, a Google Books entry briefy broke the embargo on Carter’s book.
