Jim Hanas Named Director of Audience Development at HarperCollins

Author and New York Observer social media editor Jim Hanas will join HarperCollins as director of audience development.

Here’s more about the job from Angela Tribelli‘s memo: “Jim will be working closely with the imprint teams to grow audiences in our existing marketing channels (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, newsletters), as well as identifying new channels that we should be engaging in, and helping to develop strategies around that engagement. Jim will also be working across the organization to identify and manage content syndication opportunities, all with the goal of increasing the reach of our content on behalf of our authors.”
