Jim Broadbent Joins the Game of Thrones Cast

GOT Blue Logo 200 (GalleyCat)Jim Broadbent has signed on for the seventh season of Game of Thrones. In the past, this Oscar-winning actor has acted in several book-based projects such as The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005)Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince (2009), and Cloud Atlas (2012).

Vanity Fair reports that HBO has not revealed Broadbent’s role, but the studio executives did say that his character will be “‘significant’ to next year’s plot.” The first of seven episodes from season seven will air in Summer 2017.
