Jeffrey Kluger has signed a deal with the Macmillan imprint, Henry Holt and Company. Kluger has become well-known as the co-author of the 1994 nonfiction book, Lost Moon: The Perilous Voyage of Apollo 13.
Kluger plans to write a book entitled Apollo 8. According to the publisher’s announcement, it will detail “the untold story of the first space flight to the moon, a bold, risky mission that closed out the bloody year of 1968 with an almost unimaginable triumph.”
John Sterling, an editor at large, negotiated the deal with Joy Harris, a literary agent. The release date has been scheduled for May 2017.
