Friedman founded OpenRoad Integrated Media, joined by film producer Jeff Sharp and former HarperCollins executive Chris Lederer in her new venture. While the company’s plan is still under wraps, Friedman spoke about publishing with Larry Kirshbaum in a candid web video interview with Samantha Ettus. Also, GalleyCat senior editor Ron Hogan co-wrote a long profile of the publisher.

Here’s more from the article: “OpenRoad Integrated Media, a still-stealth NYC-based eBooks marketing and publishing startup, has raised $3 million in funding, in a round led by Bay Area Holdings, a fund affiliated with Kohlberg Ventures, according to a new SEC filing.” (Via Ryan Chapman)
