James Patterson’s New Imprint Has Sold 1 Million Titles

Bestselling author James Patterson‘s new line of books, BookShots, has already sold almost 1 million copies since it launched in June 7th.

BookShots, is a line of novella-length titles designed to get people that don’t read to pick up a book. The imprint, which is under the Little, Brown and Company, features titles that have less than 150 pages and the books cost less than $5.

The Trial has hit the No. 1 slot on the  New York Times bestseller list and four other titles have also appeared on the list for a combination of ten weeks. All six BookShots titles landed on BookScan’s “Top 50” trade paperback list. Chase and Let’s Play Make Believe both go on sale today.
