Jackie Collins to Adapt New Novel For Film

jackie collinsJackie Collins has partnered with Amber Entertainment to produce the adaptation of her new novel Confessions of a Wild Child from St. Martin’s Press.

Collins will adapt the novel and will work with Ileen Maisel of Amber Entertainment to produce the film. Here is more from the press release:

The pair are launching a world-wide search for an actress to play the young Lucky Santangelo, and will create a website through which young actresses can submit their auditions. Confessions of a Wild Child is the prequel to all of Collins’s Lucky Santangelo novels, and centers on a 15 year-old Lucky Santangelo who, after breaking free from boarding school and her father’s control, navigates her way through her teen years – boys, drugs and family drama – to become the powerful woman she is today, whom millions of readers have fallen in love with.

“I am thrilled to be bringing Lucky Santangelo to the big screen,” stated Collins. “She’s a kick ass female and we need more of those!”
