Improv Everywhere Stages ‘Harry Potter’-Themed Prank in New York City

Improv Everywhere staged a Harry Potter-themed prank in New York City’s Pennsylvania Station.

11-year-old actor Sebastian Thomas took on the role of The Boy Who Lived. He wandered around with a snowy owl and a luggage cart asking people for directions to “Platform 9 & 3/4.” This project is the eighth episode in the comedy troupe’s “Movies in Real Life” series.

In an interview with The Gothamist, founder Charlie Todd explained that they “picked Penn Station for Harry Potter for a very simple reason: Grand Central Terminal doesn’t have a track 9 or 10! We’ve also staged two projects in Grand Central already so it was fun to work in Penn Station for the first time.”
