The Game of Thrones HBO series is heading to 150 IMAX theaters. This will be the first time a television show gets displayed on these giant screens.
The final two episodes from season four will be shown along with an exclusive trailer for season five. These screening events will take place from January 23rd to 29th all over the United States.

It also shows the extent to which media companies are trying to turn their blockbuster hits into mega events, as drawing mass audiences becomes increasingly rare.”
