Ideal Home for LBF?

Publishing News reports that London Book Fair Exhibition Manager Emma House has been conducting tours of Earls Court ahead of next month’s Fair. Speaking at the site during last week’s Ideal Home Exhibition, she said that 97% of space has been sold and that exhibitors’ concerns following last year’s Fair at ExCel have been acted upon. “We’ve listened to the feedback and done something about it. We’ll have wider aisles and lots of new catering initiatives, including ‘dual speed’ cafes, a silver service restaurant and a special online, stand delivery service.” Space at Earls Court is some 6% to 7% up on ExCel, which itself was 22% up on Olympia. “And we have an option of expanding into Earls Court Two next year,” House added.

The criticism of last year’s space was, shall we say, rather widespread, so it’ll be interesting to see if House’s claims do play out when the Fair begins next month.
