How to Make a Gift Card for an eBook

By Dianna Dilworth

livradaThe holiday season is upon us and if you are looking for ways to help sell books, consider making a gift card.

Technology company Livrada helps publishers and authors make gift cards for individual books. The card is a physical object which makes it easy to give to someone in person. On the card is a redemption code which the gift recipient can use to download the eBook. You can make the book available through multiple eBook stores, so that the gift recipient can choose their desired platform. Gift card recipients are required to use an individualized PIN, so that they are limited to one copy of the book from their chosen store.

Here is more about how it works from Livrada’s site:

An e-book card facilitates the redemption of your specific e-book. Any e-book title available on Kindle, Nook or Kobo can be made available on an e-book card. The front of the card features the cover art of your book, while the back includes simple instructions for redeeming your book.
