It takes an average reader about 6 hours and 22 minutes to read Great Expectations by Charles Dickens, according to a new site called Howlongtoreadthis.com.
The site lets you enter a book title (and even choose the edition of the publication) to determine how many words and pages are in the book. Then based on this information, the site calculates how long it will take to read it based on the average reading speed of 300 WPM. There are 12 million titles in the site’s database.
The site will also let readers test their own reading speed so as to personalize the engine. The site also features links to the Amazon pages of the books, so that readers can go out and buy books.
