With the release of the iPhone 5, some consumers are complaining about how easily the aluminum case can be scuffed.

Above, we’ve posted a video of a cringe-inducing attack on the phone by a two-year-old. At the same time, the Scuffgate debate reminds us that all the digital reading devices in our lives are vulnerable to kids.

This GalleyCat editor spends a lot of time protecting electronics from the two-year-old in his life, but at the same time, he doesn’t want to discourage digital reading. It raises a question for all the digital book reading parents out there. How do you use smartphones, tablets or eReaders with kids?
