Houghton Mifflin Harcourt CEO Linda K. Zecher Resigns

hmh304Linda K. Zecher has resigned as president and CEO of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH). She first came on board in this position in 2011.

Zecher has also decided to leave the publishing house’s board of directors. At this point in time, the company is searching for a new executive to fill this open role.

For the time being, Gordon Crovitz has agreed to serve as the interim CEO. He gave this statement in the press release: “I welcome the opportunity to work more closely with the team at HMH on the Company’s mission of changing people’s lives by fostering passionate, curious learners as it expands its leading position in pre-K-12 education content, services and technology solutions.”
