Agent CarterHayley Atwell has signed on as a voice actress for Marvel’s Avengers: Secret Wars. She will reprise the role of Agent Peggy Carter for one episode on the Disney XD animation series. The announcement was made at a New York Comic Con panel.

According to Hypable, Atwell first stepped into the shoes of Agent Carter in the Captain America: The First Avenger movie. She went on to play this character for two seasons on the Agent Carter series. The ABC television show was cancelled earlier this year.

Here’s more from the Screen Rant: “For those unfamiliar, Marvel’s Avengers: Secret Wars was originally launched under the name Avengers Assemble back in 2013, and served as a successor series to prior cartoon The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes! Starting with 2016’s season 3, Avengers Assemble was renamed Marvel’s Avengers: Ultron Revolution, and season 4 will air under the Marvel’s Avengers: Secret Wars title. In addition to Peggy Carter, the Secret Wars season is expected to introduce other prominent Marvel heroes like Black Panther and Ant-Man into the mix. As for when the season will air, no information has yet been made available, although one assumes a 2017 premiere is likely.” (via ComicBook.com)
