A character from the main Harry Potter series will appear in the second Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them film. Filmmaker David Yates, the director behind movie one, confirmed this news.
In an interview with Reuters, Yates gave this statement: “There is a mention of some characters that we know and love from previous movies, but we only talk about them fleetingly. In the next movie, part two, we’ll get to meet one of them in a significant way. He’s much younger than he used to be, but he’ll be coming back.”
According to Hypable, rumors have been spinning that this character may be Albus Dumbledore because his name was mentioned in the first Fantastic Beasts film. In the past, author J.K. Rowling revealed on Twitter that besides Harry himself, Albus Dumbledore is her favorite character from the Harry Potter universe.
Rowling has already written the script for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2. The Huffington Post reports that this movie will hit theaters in November 2018.
