HarperCollins Children’s Books plans to publish a new Neil Gaiman picture book entitled Cinnamon. Divya Srinivasan created the illustrations for this project.
According to Gaiman’s blog post, the story of Cinnamon was initially published in The Neil Gaiman Audio Collection. This 2004 audiobook features a total of four tales: The Day I Swapped My Dad for Two Goldfish, The Wolves in the Walls, Crazy Hair, and Cinnamon.
The Newbery Medal-winning writer drew inspiration for this story from “a Lisa Snellings carousel sculpture of a girl called Cinnamon, with pearlescent eyes, riding on a Tiger.” The release date has been set for May 2017.
