hclo2god.gifAt the 68th World Science Fiction Convention, HarperCollins announced the unification of Eos and Voyager into a giant global sci-fi/fantasy imprint called Harper Voyager. Eos is HarperCollins’ sci-fi/fantasy imprint in the US. Voyager acts as the sci-fi/fantasy imprint for Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.

Eos will merge into Harper Voyager in January 2011, with planned releases for hardcover, trade, mass market, e-book, and audio publications. Eos boasts an author list that includes Neil Gaiman, Dan Simmons, and Garth Nix. Voyager’s author list includes Paulo Coelho, Jonathan Franzen, and Stephen Fry.

At eReads, HarperCollins worldwide CEO Brian Murray had had this comment: “Uniting our sister companies in the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia/New Zealand allows readers globally unparalleled access to books and authors. This move enables us to offer authors a strong global publishing platform when signing with HarperCollins — whether the acquiring editor is in New York, Sydney, or London.”
