Hachette Launches Redhook Imprint

The Hachette Book Group, the home of Grand Central Publishing and Little, Brown & Company, has announced plans to launch a new imprint for commercial fiction books called Redhook.

The imprint will be a part of HBG’s Orbit publishing division, opening with Hawk Quest next year–a historical epic novel set in the 11th century written by Robert Lyndon. The imprint will publish fiction across genres in print and eBook form, including digital-only titles. The company said it expects to release one to two new titles a month. The imprint is currently accepting submissions from agents and international publishers.

Tim Holman, SVP and publisher of the Orbit division, had this to say about the new imprint: “Our two existing imprints, publishing SF and Fantasy, and manga and graphic novels, were launched five years ago and are now well established. Redhook will help us grow the division and broaden our business and consumer relationships.”
